Law Girl/Law Guy: Law Parents Edition

Law Girl: Sarah Sager

Three words to describe balancing parenting with readings?
Need more time!!!

What is your plan for tackling Christmas shopping while handling midterms?
I personally prefer to indulge in the full Christmas shopping experience. As such, I don’t start until the 20th of December. That way, the malls are at full capacity; parking spots are hard to find, and checkout lines are ridiculously long. The side benefit, of course, is that there is no conflict with exams. This year, I am super stoked to do my shopping in a larger city. I moved here from Lethbridge and, quite frankly, I feel the Christmas rush there is a little understated.

Any law wisdom you impart on your children?
Don’t get caught. But if you do, it could go either way. It depends.

Go-to tool for time management?
Megan Petryk’s to-do list. If that girl wasn’t on top of all of our readings, I would be very lost.

Favourite part of law school so far?
Hands down, it’s the people. I have a great group of friends. Most of them are moms like me, so they are able to relate to some of the additional pressures I feel. They are a great support. I also have a great cohort. We may not be the “smartest” cohort, but we all get along really well and have a great time together. I am excited to go to school, mostly everyday because I get to associate with such fantastic people. Also, I can’t forget my security blanket – by far the best part.
